Francesca Merlino (She/her/hers) is a dancer and choreographer based in the Atlantic City area of New Jersey. She began her dance journey at the age of 4, and since then, has cultivated a deep passion for the art form. Currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts with a concentration in dance performance at Stockton University, Francesca also dances with the Stockton Dance Company.
As a choreographer, she draws much of her inspiration from the natural world and the profound connection humans share with nature. This influence is evident in her work, which often explores themes of growth, balance, and flow. Her choreography invites audiences to engage with the physicality of nature, emphasizing its organic rhythms and patterns through movement.
Francesca’s approach to dance is rooted in a desire to express and communicate through both technique and emotion, blending classical foundations with contemporary sensibilities. She believes that dance has the power to transcend boundaries and connect individuals to something greater, whether that be nature, society, or oneself.
